Joseph Pych is the Founder and President of NextMark, Inc. Joe started the company back in 1999 with the vision of streamlining the direct marketing process and, in particular, the mailing list procurement process. He's quite proud of the NextMark team's success in realizing this vision with the delivery of a number of innovative products and services that have helped thousands of companies to successfully reach their markets. Joe is responsible for the overall direction of the company.

Under Joe's leadership, NextMark has delivered a wave of innovations in pursuit of its mission to help marketing professionals to "Reach Your Market" and is the inventor of its patented technologies:

Joe has more than 20 years experience delivering enterprise software solutions. Prior to NextMark, Joe was one of the first employees of Exchange Applications (sold to Amdocs), a marketing automation software company that was Massachusetts' second most successful IPO in 1998. In addition to delivering large-scale marketing databases for Fortune 500 clients, he developed a patented system for implied response attribution -- a process now commonly known as "match back" (US patent 7,370,003 "Method and Apparatus for Implied Attribution of Responses to Promotional Contacts"). Prior to Exchange Applications, Joe managed various business initiatives at The Travelers. His key innovations include two mobile computing platforms and a single, countrywide 800-number for claim reporting (1-800-CLAIM-33). Joe also co-founded a startup subsidiary, Precision Damage Control Services, where he served as the Director of Technology and Finance.

Joe is an active contributor to the direct marketing industry. He created a program to educate tomorrow's direct marketing professionals that is now being used by more that 2,400 students at 65 colleges and universities. He is also a member of the Direct Marketing Association, the DMA's List & Database Council, the Vermont/New Hampshire Direct Marketing Group, the New England Mail Order Association, and the Direct Marketing Club of New York.

Joe is a recipient of the DMEF's 2008 Rising Star Award which recognizes professionals, aged 40 and under, who demonstrate superior leadership abilities, including a strong track record of outstanding results, and a stellar reputation for "giving back" through direct marketing education, as exemplified by such activities as teaching and mentoring. Joe is recognized among BtoB Magazine's Who's Who list of "key thought leaders and movers and shakers across a broad spectrum of the marketing world."

Joe holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and dual Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Mathematics and in Computer Science from Cornell University. While at Cornell, Joe played wide receiver for the varsity football team, which won the Ivy League in 1988, and was honored with the Victor Grohmann Scholar Athlete Award in his senior year.

Joe lives with his wife and two young boys in Hanover, New Hampshire, just steps from the Appalachian Trial and Dartmouth College. He is involved with the community as a ski instructor and baseball coach. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, biking, snowshoeing, skiing, golfing, and fishing. As a hobby, Joe runs a fishing website called Hooked-in, which makes it easy for fishermen to share their fish stories.
